Morning all! wave

Probably just passing through in a hurry again as I have things I should do... roll eyes

SD, it's the same owl as before.   He's called "Tinks" and he was rescued by a local birds of prey centre as some chap had picked him up when he'd fallen out of a nest and then realised that he was rather demanding to keep!   I got to hold him when I had an afternoon there for my 30th birthday (which I realise now makes it clear that I'm older than Splodge! tee hee   I think I'm going to start counting backwards now!)

SF we have car insurance to sort out too.   It is indeed very crazy inducing!

Panda, impressive on the baking and cleaning.   I discovered something a couple of weeks ago - I'm best at cleaning/tidying when I'm in a Bad Mood! grumpy   Something made me cross at work and by the end of the day the office had suddenly had a major tidy and sort!   It's a lot better now! big grin

Have a good day everyone!

I hope SkyD appreciates the diamond he has in you...yes

wave everyone

tee hee  blush
I'm really the lucky one, he's been so good to me big grin

Good morning! wave

I'm on something of an adrenylin rush today. crazy bouncy Panic! Must be those press-ups I've started doing after I wake up. Much more effective than coffee.

The adrenylin rush has helped me apply for 3 jobs today already.

Aaaaaagh - shopping hell  comfort.  (Many fluffies here will be totally baffled..... but I understand  group hug big grin).

wave Morning all. I have a posh gallery opening to go to today because a friend and her husband are launching their new gallery.  Some might say they are barking mad lips are sealed whistle but they're giving it their best shot and are doing it all 'right'.  They've used contacts to get the nationals along to give them some puff which is somewhat better than the local evening paper! good luck to them yes.

Good luck finding an outfit SF comfort  and I hope the gallery opening is a success for your friends Splodge, and the gallery as an enterprise in general thumbs up

Morning all wave

Last night the RCD (I think) tripped again taking all the house electrics out candle light  Methinks it's time to get the spark out to find out what he wired up funny in the kitchen zap  I thought the boiler/hot water/heating timer box had gone poof too but I just had to reset it dippy  On the plus side, I now know that the washing machine remembers where it is in its cycle and doesn't start from the beginning when the power comes back on thumbs up

Morning. wave

good luck finding an outfit SF. thumbs up

Splodge, good luck to your friends and their new venture. smile

Taking Zac to see a new vet today. thumbs up The vet's I use atm are good but they charge a fortune for flea stuff. £24 for 3 pipettes which works out at £48 for 3 months protection. When I asked for a prescription so that I could get 3 for £15 online I was told by the practice manager that by law they could only have 1 item on each prescription and they charge £6 per prescription. eek That sounded like bullshit to me so I contacted the Veterinary Medicines Directorate who confirmed that it was bullshit so I'm off. I will not be lied to. mad I've had a recomendation for the new vet from the guy we got Zac from so I'm going to give her the once over today. smile

While I miss having pets - I don't miss vets' bills.  Why you have to have a prescription for flea stuff beats me!

Good Luck S/F - don't envy you at all!

Ridiculous isn't it?

New vet will charge about £20 for 3 but I want to check out whether she'll do me a prescription. Prescriptions last for 6 months so I should be able to get enough for the summer though some vets insist on seeing animals every 3 months.

I know you would have to use an aweful lot of flea medication to do any harm, but it can be toxic in high dosages (for dogs, rediculously high dosages, for cats it would take less). They just want to make sure people only use the recomended dosage. smile

wave Morning sunny

I'm going shopping today, too. Exeter, here I come! I have to get stuff for interviews and/or work (if it works out in the restaurant crossed fingers ).
