Poldark - BBC1
« on: July 08, 2019, 02:47:05 PM »
It's nearly time to start talking like a Cornish man/woman again :D.

This new series (the last one for some time apparently - there are still 5 more books to go) starts next Sunday evening at 9pm :thumbsup

I'm not watching. Read all the books 40 years ago, watched all the original series and the first of the new one, didn't grab me, just wasn't as good to me :shrug ((Even if Aiden is easy on the eye :ayeaye :D )

Odd wasn't it.   :shrug   That bloody sailing boat took so long to sail I thought it would miss the tide.  :D

An episode too far imo..... and probably the whole series.

And me :D I have very fond memories of the original. I tried to watch the new version, but didn't like the casting (well, apart from Aiden Turner being easy on the eye :ayeaye ) and I just couldn't get into it :shrug
Also I had read all the books back in the days but of course I can't remember the ending now :D

This series ended with Aiden Turner's Ross Poldark shaking hands with Robin Ellis (the original Ross Poldark), which I thought was a rather clever idea.
